5. Informed Consent: We obtain informed consent from clients and students before engaging in any Mindful Art activities. We provide clear and comprehensive information about the nature, purpose, and potential risks and benefits of our services. We disclose that Mindful Art activities are not Mindful Art Therapy.
6. Safety & Well-Being: We prioritize the physical and emotional safety and well-being of our clients and students. We maintain safe and appropriate boundaries in all interactions.
7. Non-Exploitation: We do not exploit our clients, students, or colleagues for personal, financial, or professional gain. We avoid conflicts of interest and maintain objectivity in our relationships, including maintaining appropriate boundaries with students, which includes avoiding sexual relationships or harassment.
8. Cultural Sensitivity: We are culturally sensitive and respectful of the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of our clients and students. We strive to create a culturally inclusive and responsive practice.
9. Copyright & Trademark Compliance: We are committed to following appropriate copyright and trademark laws in all our Mindful Art activities and materials, respecting the intellectual property rights of others, and ensuring that our use of such materials is by legal requirements.
10. Following Terms & Conditions: We honor the terms and conditions of the original Mindful Art Teacher Training Certification programs we enrolled in and completed.
11. Social Responsibility: We use our skills and expertise to contribute positively to society. We engage in ethical and socially responsible Mindful Art practices that promote well-being and positive change.
12. Continuing Education: We commit to ongoing learning and professional development to stay informed about emerging practices, research, and ethical guidelines in the field of Mindful Art.
Disciplinary Measures: Members of the Mindful Art Alliance found to violate this Code of Ethics may be subject to disciplinary measures as determined by the organization. Disciplinary actions may include but are not limited to, warnings, suspension, revocation of membership or accreditation, and reporting to relevant authorities when applicable. The organization will establish clear procedures for reporting violations and conduct investigations fairly and impartially. The severity of the violation and any mitigating or aggravating factors will be considered when determining the appropriate disciplinary measures.
